Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The hand crank is designed for single-person operation from ground level. Opening or closing a 3 m awning takes under a minute.
Retract the awning. A wall-mounted awning is not a permanent shelter — like every retractable awning, it should be closed before leaving the vehicle unattended and in rising wind or rain. Leaving it extended in a storm will damage the arms regardless of build quality.
It mounts to the side wall of most motorhomes, campervans and caravans using the included standard brackets. Vehicles with profiled or ribbed side walls need adapters, which we select according to the specific vehicle. Send us the model and we will confirm the bracket set before you order.
Full width is the length of the closed cassette and must fit the flat section of wall on your vehicle. It comes in 0.5 m steps from 2.0 m to 4.0 m.
Max extension is how far the awning projects out. It is always shorter than the full width and never more than 2.5 m, so a 2.0 m awning extends to 1.5 m while a 3.0 m or wider awning can take the full 2.5 m.
Fabric width is 0.17 m narrower than the full width, because the arm mechanism sits inside the cassette. Measure your usable wall length first, then pick the extension.
